Fierce Golden Eagle

“Fierce Golden Eagle” black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory by David Smith. The golden eagle is a bird of prey living in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the most widely distributed species of eagle. Like all eagles, it belongs to the family Accipitridae. They are one of the best-known birds of prey in the Northern Hemisphere. Excellent work by Smith, mounted on a handsome stand. From the collection of one of our clients who is no longer with us.
