Flying Blue Heron in Marsh
“Flying Blue Heron in Marsh” black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory by Charles W. Conner. Well known for his bird scrimshaw, Conner created this in 2010. If is from the collection of one of our clients who is no longer with us. Some scoring marks on the tusk, but hard to say if, and, how it was used. Mounted on a handsome rosewood stand, this would make a fine addition to any scrimshaw collection.
