Right Whale Sounding

$350.00

“Right Whale Sounding” black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory artifact by  Gerry Dupont. Excellent composition by well known scrimshander. Ivory was used as some type of tool hundreds and hundreds of years ago by natives in the Northern Bering Sea area. Probably used as some type of digging tool. Nice color in the ivory.
