Spyhopping Whale

$220.00

Black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tooth ivory by David Smith. “Spyhopping” refers a whale suddenly appearing above the surface seeming to glance around to get his bearings. Some say the whale is just curious. No one knows for sure because we cannot speak whale. Perhaps in the future. Anyway, this is a fine piece by master scrimshander, Smith.
