Whaler at Sea

“Whaler at Sea” black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory artifact by Gerry Dupont. Classic depiction of a solitary whaler on a long voyage (the average length was three years). Ivory used as some type of digging tool by people in the Northern Bering Sea area years and years ago. Love how the color in the ivory matches the stand. Everything work fine on this one.
