Black and white (with just a little color) scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory artifact by David Adams. Brilliant composition by Adams on this one. This piece of ancient walrus tusk ivory was, at one time, worked to be some type of tool. However, it appears that the ivory was broken before the tool could be completed. Scrimshander Adams has used that theme in this creation. Note the broken fragment of the totem on the left side, behind the mysterious wolf. Brilliant. Love the slight touch of color at the base, including the thorns. This is an incredible piece.
