“Clipper in Stormy Seas” black and white scrimshaw on ancient mammoth ivory bark by David Adams. Wind whipped waves pound the clipper in stormy seas. Adams has done another masterful job on this gem. Very interesting piece of ivory, by the way. Notice the rings on the edeges of the mammoth tusk ivory. Gives the impression of rays of sun glistening through hazy mist. Quite rare.
