Awesome Golden Eagle

“Awesome Golden Eagle” black and white scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory artifact by Steve Williams. Ivory used as a tool by natives in the Northern Bering Sea area hundreds of years ago. This was created for Scrimshaw Gallery in 1988 and is from the collection of one of our clients who is no longer with us. Not much of this type of artifact ivory around today. Note the color in the ivory makes it appear as clouds with the soaring eagle going full speed. Mounted on a stand by the late Ken Fredericks. Two of the best no longer with us.
