“Grizzly” color scrimshaw on ancient walrus tusk ivory artifact by David Adams. Early morning in the mountains as the  mist slowly rises in the background. A dominant grizzle lets everyone know that he is awake and is searching for his first meal of the day. Adams’ use of the natural tones in the ivory is incredible. This is an artist at the top of his game. Everything we receive from him is amazing. The ivory was used an a net weight by natives in the Bering Sea area hundreds and hundreds of years ago and is in museum quality condition.
