“Killer Whale Pod Attacking” black and white scrimshaw on large whale’s tooth by Peter Mayac. Action piece depicting a fearsome pod of orcas attacking a lone bowhead whale in the Northern Bering Sea. This was created by the well known native artist, Peter Mayac, whose work is prized by collectors everywhere. It is from the collection of one of our long time clients who is no longer with us. Heavy tooth is in excellent condition and was probably done in the late sixties to early seventies. Very rare piece.
