“Pheasant on the Wing” color scrimshaw on ancient mammoth tusk ivory bark by Matt Stothart. Outstanding color work by well known scrimshander, Stothart. Really like the way the dark forest in the background makes the bird’s colors pop off the ivory. Stothart always does a first rate job. Note the way the color in the outer bark matches the tones in the pheasant. Nice.
