“Whaler in Calm Seas” black and white scrimshaw on ancient mammoth tusk ivory bark. You can see the crew working on deck and the whaleboats on the davits. Incredible detail in the rigging and sails. This one has it all. Really like the way the ivory was worked with the outer bark forming a window for Dupont’s fine work. Outstanding stand as well.
