Spread Wing Eagle Carving
“Spread Wing Eagle Carving” created on North American moose antler by talented unknown artist. Really like the way the carver has position the wings. This guy is just settling in for a little rest before the next meal.
The material used for this fine carving is North American moose antler. This antler is collected from the forests of North America, all across Siberia to Scandinavia. The male of this species (Alces alces) grows and sheds a new pair of massive antlers every year. It is the largest of the deer family and its numbers are stable and thriving. Therefore, there are no restrictions on trade in this antler. It is a beautiful, solid, renewable carving material.
